NOMINATIONS


Nominations for scholarships will be accepted throughout each year a minimum of two months prior to the expected date of entry into an intensive English program in the United States.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATIONS

  • Nominee must fall into one of the two types of students discussed in the BACKGROUND section of this web site.
  • Persons who submit nominations are required to know the nominee in an academic or professional setting; for example, as a teacher of the international or a supervisor or colleague of a professional and must not be related to the nominee.
  • Persons who are being nominated must have knowledge that they are being nominated and be willing to submit an application at the time of nomination.

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION

  1. Send a letter of nomination to drandersonclark@yahoo.com stating the nominee's name, the academic or professional relationship between the nominee and the person who is making the nomination, and detailed information concerning the nominee's particular qualities, goals, and needs that lead the person making the nomination to feel that this person is deserving of the scholarship. This letter can serve as one of the nominee's required letters of reference.
  2. Have the nominee fill out the application and send it in at the same time that the nomination letter is being sent.
